Our Health content is created by Kathleen Beckett, a Health and Physical Education teacher at Heretaunga College in Upper Hutt. She has taught from Year 9-13 in the Health and Physical Education context.

She is currently the teacher of senior Health Education at Heretaunga College and has become passionate about Health and Wellbeing projects across the school, not just within the classroom.

Kathleen is also a keen lover of sports, especially team sports, and more specifically, netball. Culture and her family are very important to her, and building relationships with students and staff has become fundamental to her teaching. These being some of the important elements of building a holistic wellbeing and encompassing a Maori world view like Hauora.
